...from 2000 to 2002 I was Account Manger for Huiskes-Kokkeler Lease & Verhuur. I was responsible for:
- achieving profitable leasing contracts on cars & light commercial vehicles
- approaching potential customers
- achieving autonomous growth
- issuing & following up quotations
- following up existing contracts / customers
- investigating customer complaints
- purchasing vehicles subject to a leasing contract...
...early 1999 I joined Caterpillar Work Tools and Services as Sales Support Consultant till I left the company in the summer of 2000. On a day-to-day basis I was occupied with:
- liaison with Caterpillar dealers in the EU, Africa, Middle East and CIS
- proactively monitoring availability
- progress chasing on orders in production
- liaison with product marketing for competitive prices
- generation of quotes
- handling of cancellations, customer complaints
- liaison/monitoring within all product groups for availability...
...immediately after my graduation in 1996 I left The Netherlands to start working for BMW (GB) Ltd. in Bracknell - UK - where I was made responsible for the so-called BMW Menu Pricing / Four Plus after sales project. In my very first job I was immediately made responsible for:
- development & maintenance of the Menu Pricing System
- updating the system by implementing new menu applications
- implementing dealer survey
- analysis of survey feedback
- design & intitiation of communication program for customer retention
- system training for the dealers nation wide...
My education...

...from 1992 to 1996, I studied Engineering Management at the HTS Bedrijfskunde 'De Maere' in Enschede - The Netherlands. Part of this education is that students do gain practical experience: I carried this out at the Caterpillar factory in Gosselies - Belgium and BMW (GB) Ltd. in Bracknell - UK.
As part of my final thesis in 1996 I carried out a market research project for Geveke Zwaar Materieel BV - the former Caterpillar dealer in Holland. Recommendations were issued to the management on ways to improve market share. This thesis resulted in my graduation & provided me with a Bsc. degree and NIMA-A and NIMA-B certifications...
